Sounds like an "across the arc" feeder. hook your positive cable off your machine to your feeder, with the voltage pickup from your feeder attached to your machines work lead. If it's an LN-25 feeder, place the front power toggle to +.
Place an inside toggle to CV, as this will most likely be the type of welding your doing. Through a gun on, a bottle of gas, a roll of your favorite wire, and your ready to weld.
