I repair 10 powermax2 welders per week,the problem is with the 4 main power transistors.
they will test out o.k. with a mosfet tester but replace them and problem solved.
Temp light also indicates over-current,output short-circuit,undervoltage.
Also check the input and output diode bridges connections.
transistors are available from richardson electronics.Part APT5014 LVR
