Get away from the flux core due to the cost is to high,try a 3/16 110 hard facing rod as i have found this rod to be great on hard surfaces that indure atlot of wear and tear and you can stack the welds much higher than any other chrome rod and you dont have to preheat but it is recomended that you do,good luck.
