I think I understand your question correctly Dax. Drop one of the legs to go to single phase 230V. There should be two hot and one nuetral.
ITW who bought Miller and Hobart also acquired Powcon early on. One of the tech people at Miller in Appleton may be able to help if you require further assistance or perhaps a manual. There may still be some Powcon literature/schematics available.
