Linear drives are being used quite extensively now in rapid conveying systems, especially in automated wharehouse facilities and baggage handling systems. Two Companys that I know who supply Linear Drives to the market are Baldor (USA) and SEW-Eurodrive (Germany). Both of these Companys have their own web sites where you should be able to obtain more information. If you need specific information for a particular application, please let me know so as to offer the appropriate advice.
