Hi,
I use humidity sensors which have type E (chromel/constantan) thermocouples. Wires are extremely thin. After repeated measurements, the TC junction becomes contaminated/corroded which considerably decreases accuracy of the measurement. I tried cleaning the metal surface with different substances (5% ammonia solution, acetone/ethanoleum mixture, chloroforme) and ultrasonification but neither method works satisfactorily. Do you know of more efficient ways to restore thermocouples? Any advice would be great. Ivo
