This document is porbably all you need to set up comunications though...

Make sure your PC and the CNC have the smae baud rate, stop bit and charater settings. These are set via parameters in the 0T. Also, make sure your cable is good. Some machines also dont have a standard cable layout, so make sure the pins are what they should be.
