Hello,I was just wondering whether it is possible to machine a crankshaft on a conventional lathe.I know that crankshafts are usually produced through forging, but was wondering whether( in days past -pre CNC) a conventional lathe would have been used as part of the machining process -or would they have been ground on a grinder?Thanks alot for any info, and I apologise for the general nature of the question ( I am not a machinist).Regards,Ron
