I want to turn Pipe like components of Brass. The wall thickness 3mm and above by holding in power chuck.

i am afraid that the component may not maintain roundness when held in power chuck. can enveloping the component in specially made jaws eliminate the problem?
Will a centrifugally compensated chuck be suitable? Is about 5mm chucking length sufficient for 45mm long component.
