To all that helped, Thank you very much for your help in the tapping problem's I was having. I have tried the ten. / comp. system's, but they are not for me. I called Tapmatic and a guy came out to my shop and we went over my problem. The best way to tap today is the new "self reversing head's" Tapmatic has. These thing's work great! Much less wear and tear on the machine, perfect hole's every time, and by far the fastest way yet. I was going to buy one of the new RDT unit's, they are the best around and they are rebuildable by the owner. After looking at my situation though, the guy from Tapmatic choose a SPD head instead, it will work just fine and cost's less than half as much as the RDT head. I went with the quick change system on mine, this way I can set up each tap in the tool library by numbering just the tap holder's and get away with one head for tapping several different hole size's. If anyone else out there has this problem, go with this system, it's the only way to tap! Duane.
