we turn aluminium alloy pistons and clamp the pistons by inserting a pin inside the pin bore and then on to a tie rod which is tightened, so that the piston rests itself on the spigot.
while turning an ovality is formed on the skirt having wall thickness of 3 mm. How can one decrease or eliminate this problem, we have tried using only centre supports and also bare minimum clamping by hand. can anybody suggest professionally or otherwise. thank you in advance
