we turn aluminium alloy pistons and clamp the pistons by inserting a pin inside the pin bore and then on to a tie rod which is tightened, so that the piston rests itself on the spigot.
while turning an ovality is formed on the skirt having wall thickness of 3 mm.
How can one decrease or eliminate this problem, we have tried using only centre supports and also bare minimum clamping by hand.
can anybody suggest professionally or otherwise.
