I am looking for a devce to detect an object in the path of a moving gantry crane. It has been rumoured that a limit switch with some sort of trip wire off of a hoop on the horizontal plane has been used in some cases. Does any one have experience with such a device. A model number and perhaps a detail would point me in the right direction. I appreciate any information or leads on this device or any alternative application that you could offer.
