Intel has stopped making 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface controllers back in the mid 90's. I need the functionality of this IC in a project I'm currently working on.
A Pin for pin equivelant or something with an 8bit I/O bus interface and several 8bit I/O ports will do.

I need IC's that are still in production... (for future support)

Thanks in advance
