Why don't you look at the Intersil's ICL7106 3.5 DPM chip App Notes (not the data sheets). There is a modification that allows you to measure ohms up to 20M depending on the reference resistor. It's pretty simple since it only needs a minor alteration from the original circuit. I've used it many times and I can tell you is great. Good Luck!
