I am looking for reference material on a low power permenant magnet, AC generator design.
The design will simply be a spinning magnet near a coil(s) of wire. Other than by trial and error, what is the best way to find the magnet size/strength, coil size, magnet wire size, number of turns, air gap, etc? The parameters I have now is that I need to deliver about 6 VAC into a 10k ohm load at about 300 RPM of shaft speed. I've done a bit of searching and have not come across any reference material on the subject. What I would LOVE to find is a "AC Generator Design for Dummies" type of book!! Any help would be appreciated.Regards, Pete Riley - rileyesi@aol.com
