This is probably more complicated than you want, but I designed and built one many long years ago; with CMOS logic. I do not have the schematics or documentation.The idea was to use flat ribbon cable with several lines reserved for signaling and the rest used as voice channels. You can then make drops wherever you want with insulation displacement connectors and the cable is not too graceless. I had a controller at the end of the cable to handle some housekeeping. My voice channels were analog, so that imposed some distance limitations. The basic idea was that cooperation between the controller and stations allowed two or more people to use common channels and the limited channel resource was reused on a nondedicated basis (there are a lot of possible combinations for even 5 people).Perhaps these ideas help?Ray
