I am looking for the best sensor for detecting sand that builds up in a water pipe. I need a sensor that will go active once the level of sand in the pipe goes past the sensor. The sand is in water in the pipe. I would need a low cost sensor that is 24VDC. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The pipe is mounted vertically and the sand level is horizontal to the pipe.
