I am currently working on a proyect using four Motoman SK16X robots with XRC controllers. The robots cut steel rails with plasma. The cuts have many different shapes and we must change the value of some variables in the four robots every time we want to change the shape of the cut to select a different job.
I'm trying to communicate the robots with a PC using the RS-232 com port to send to the robots the value of the variables to begin a cut but I'm having problem.
I know that Motoman has the Visual DCI software to communicate a PC with a robot but this software has many things that I don't need. I´m trying to find drivers for C language or Visual Basic to perform this communication.
I would really appreciate if somebody could help me.
