Apply a low amplitude, short current pulse (less than a half cycle of the expected oscillation frequency) to the tank (LC) circuit. A typical amplitude might be 100uA. The polarity is usually not important. Don't use a voltage source. A current source has infinite impedance, and so will not alter the operation of your oscillator when the current returns to zero.
