One thing you should be aware of, is the compression ration of the screw. It is basically the gap difference between the matter inlet and the tip of the screw. For plastic materials, this compression ration is around 2.1 to 2.4. It might work for MIM feedstock but usually it is too high and your material will be degraded by elevated temperature before it even enters the mold. For MIM or CIM materials, the compression ration should be lowered at about 1.6, 1.7 in order to reduced the heating due to this compression. Normally the machine makers are aware of this but it never hurts to know it too! Have a nice day
