I'm not sure off the top of my head weather or not FL. is an agreement state or not. And, I'm not up on the xray regs as well as I am on the material regs. But. We just went through something like this ourselves with an very old industrial unit (300 kv 40ma) In Ca. it is illegal for you to be in possesion of an x-radiation producing anything without a licence. So for someone to buy, or even if you gave it to them for free, they would be in violation. Course, assuming you knew what you were doing in the first place with a radiation producing anything and didn't nuke yourself and or friends. It'd be near impossible for the state to find out you had it.

Ultimately to posses one you'll need some form of license.
