Hello All,

Is there a specific book or manual that is published that is a good reference both on the practical and safety aspects of operation of equipment that generates X-Rays? Many years ago I repaired industrial high powered x-ray equipment while in the Air Force that was used for non-destructive testing (NDT). Of course this unit put out really high amounts of x-rays for shooting pictures of aircraft wings and such. I would like to find a reference that would state penetration levels at certain voltage and current levels (or pulse lengths) for different substances. I am sure that such a reference must exist. Can you help?

Thanks,

Gerry
