I designed built and tested a table top x-ray laser source and used a pulse of extremely fast and powerful electrical pulse through a piece of Aluminum. The plasma generated a pulse of x-ray radiation which was coherent or appeared to be coherent. I tested it with common black and white fast film with a special uv chemical coating that flouresce when the radiation was in the bandwidth I calculated to be.
