It is indeed amazing what is on the web nowdays.
I remember C.L. Stong`s article on Harry Simons X-ray when I was a bright eyed and bushy tailed student in the 60`s.
If Arron can get hold of an old vacuum tube it may well suffice. Many years ago I used the Mullard PD 500 shunt stabilizer triode and I beleive there is a web site cover this valve as well as the use of EHT rectifiers.
I though have moved on to a demountable micro-focus X-ray tube,infinitly more stable.
