Hello TIA,A problem that you may encounter is the fact that 50KV X-rays are not very good at penetrating dense, hard materials such as metals and ceramics. The 1mA tube current parameter is also relatively week. I have had good results X-ray objects around the house using a dental X-ray system rated 70KV at 10mA. It also helps to have an Image Intensifier, which is an electronic device that converts X-ray radiation into visible light. They are extremely sensative, and it allows me to use my digital camera to make a final X-ray picture. I no longer have to use messy and smelly developing chemicals!Happy X-raying!Mike
