I am said to hear that you have problems with the DSP connections.
There is no easy way out, and with the Advant Controllers there are no shortcuts.

Depending on how you use the signals going on to the DSP you can do something like the following:
If the signal anyways are not being used right now due to the failure of your new DSP. You can disconnect the signals from the New DSP. Save and Load. Add them again, save and load. see if it works. If not delete the DSP and the DATs going to it. Create a new DSP, tie the signals to the DATs. make sure the DATs are connected the right way to the DSP.

Of course the IDENT and BUS and so on have to be the same for the DSP....

Check the error code on the DSP element.

I guess you already solved the problem, but anyways.........
