Hi!
We are making Transaxle casting in LM6. We are facing following problems.
1. heavy shrinkage in an area where it is difficult to provide direct feeder.
2. Microporosity around the junction of two planes.

can anyone suggest the remedy - how to compensate for the shrinkage in thick section where it is difficult to provide the feeder.

What are cooling ribs - can anyone share his experience of application of cooling ribs in aluminium castings.

Thanx

Kishore
