High lead alloys are difficult to extrude or continuous cast, since lead will segregate from the alloy under many
conditions. In extrusion, the alloy often develops cracks & chevrons [relative to % of Pb and alloy system],
continuous casting may require constant stirring to keep the alloy homogeneous. I have experience in both
methods and would be glad to share these with you. Good hunting.
