the following Cerium Mischmetal is used as the typical desulfurizer in ductile iron foundry : TREM 98%min Ce/REM 50%min La/REM 35%min Pr/REM 5-10% Nd/REM 1-10% Fe 1.0%max Mg 0.8%max Si 0.2%max Size : Piglet or trapezoids of 500gram, 2kgs or at buyer's option. Usage : Cerium mischmetall = employment as refinement means for cast irons. Cerium and other rare earth elements effectively eliminate the harmful effects of other components. Cerium Mischmetall is added to nodularised iron, offering the following benefits: - - Increased nucleating sites for graphite precipitation. - Extended effect of the nodularisation treatment. - Nullification of the harmful effects of any trace elements present in the base iron. - Control of graphite morphology from vermicular to nodular. TO BE HIGHLIGHTED THAT MISCHMETAL IS WIDELY USED IN THE DUCTILE IRON FOUNDRY AND PRODUCTION OF FERRO SILICON MAGNESIUM (FeSiMg).
