For my application I'm looking for a highly thermal conductive steel (stainless preferably). I've tried 304, then 430, then C1008 (carbon steel). Carbon steel worked the best but rusting cannot be tolerated.
I use 430 currently but I'm still looking. I also looked at 410 but the cost didn't offset the gain in thermal conductivity. Average (annealed) mechanical properties: UTS 90,000 psi Elongation 25%
