Power Supply Rules

1.Placement of power supply components are very importent.

2.You have to place as per the sch.

Ex.

Suppose starting from the i/p supply and regulation may be linear or smps, you should care.
1.Place all power supply components seperatly from other circuits in a board.

2.Take the sch,Place the i/p oriented comp,s first(sequentially) Till the filter(Ferrite Bead) come.
After the filter There will be a load resisters.
O/p of load resister you must provide multiple vias with copper pour.

Make sure that in the power you have to take traces only till inductor,dont provide any vias for power & gnd.Only through Big trace(60 mil) taces to be connected .After Filtering on o/p side provide via which must go connect to power plane.

It is like a kelvin rules.

All comp,s must be trace out on o/p side for Gnd and power Provide multiple vias with copper pour and that should connect to corresponding power and gnd plane layers.

If any horizontal mount regulators,power trans,mosfet is coming dont take any trace underneath of that component.make sure mask also should be cleared on that.

Make sure if ang gate are base signal is driving switching devices that perticula signal must be with shield.
