RIGID – FLEX – RIGID PCB

Client : ADA Bangalore.

The Rigid – Flex – Rigid PCB is having flex PCB and the ends are terminated with Rigid PCBs .
Circular connectors and VME64X –connectors are placed on Rigid PCBs. Here, in the PCB, three different power planes are incorporated care is taken in the view of mechanical dimensions of circular connectors, VME connectors flex PCB.

MC68332 MICROCONTROLLER CARD


Client : Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratories (NPOL),
Cochin

The card is Motorola’s 68332 micro controller based embedded system. The card is designed in such a way that conduction cooling (heat sink) is provided in the PCB by adding thermal plane.
Since the PCB is having very much high density with the presence of more number of IC’s,
It is gone upto 14Layer’s. In this 14Layer’s itself, three different power planes are included.
The card is passed in thermal analysis and EMI/EMC tests after testing the card.

The card is having standard VME bus and 1553B bus, so that data transfer can be done by either VME’S master/slave configuration and/or 1553B’s bus controller/remote terminal configuration.

BCM and MCM Cards

Client : West Instruments, UK.

These cards are Hitachi’s H8S2626 and Atmel’s T89C51RD2 micro controller based embedded system used for controlling of temperature of furnaces etc in Industries. The BCM communicates with the external world by using Devicenet, Profibus, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP and Modbus protocols. There is a separate daughter card (two layered) for each protocol that resides on the BCM board (Main Board).
MCM boards accept inputs from temperature sensors and control the heaters or coolers accordingly as to maintain constant temperature. These boards are of very high component density as the form factor of the board is very small and all the components are placed only on one side of the PCB. These boards have separate planes for power and ground. And the power and ground planes are also isolated from each other as per the requirements. These cards have passed the thermal analysis, EMI/EMC tests.

POWER PC

Client : Naval Physical and Ocenographic Laboratories (NPOL),

The card is power pc based embedded system. In this card , four IC’s (CPC 700, Power pc, Tundra, SDRAM) are of BGA (Ball Grid Array) packages .since the card is having three different (66MHz , 32MHz, 25MHz) frequencies, proper shielding is provided to avoid cross talk effects.

RF CARD

The card is for switching the audio(up to 1.5GHz) and video signals through RF relays. All the inputs & outputs of the relays all routed with effective shielding so that signals will be maintained at the same level and noise will nit be added. All the inputs/outputs signals are terminated at coax connectors

ZVC SCR CARD


Client : JOSLYN HI-VOLTAGE CORP( U.S.A)

The work involved designing the triac card for JOSLYN HI VOLTAGE
, Cleaveland OHIO.
It is a mixed signal card where both hi voltage lines as well as control signals have to be routed on the same card. It involved maintaining proper creepages and clearences between the highvolatge and low voltage tracks and also make sure that during the switch operation when
the voltage transition of the track varies from 0V to 360V the nearby lines should not get affected by any coupling mechanism.

HIGH SPEED DATA ACQUISITION (HDAS) SYSTEM

Client : Space Applications Center (SAC) Ahmedabad

The HDAS has four different cards namely PCI card , Simulator card , TypeA & TypeB card, Mother Board. Here four different types of circular connectors (8 numbers 120pins,79pins,55pins) are placed directly on Mother Board. In all the PCB’s, extra care is taken for achieving 80MHz data speed by routing the tracks with shortest paths. Care is also taken with the effective shielding.

PCI PC-ADD-ON CARD


Client : Apollo Computing Laboratories (P) LTD Hyderabad,
INDIA

PCI card is Add-On card with 1553B bus interface. Extra precaution is taken for the PCI related signals by not allowing the track length more than 1.5 inches, as per standard. Since the card will be plugged into PCI slot of computer, care is taken for matching the card connector to PCI slot.

PCI MAZZANINE CARD (PMC)

Client : Apollo Computing Laboratories (P) LTD Hyderabad,
INDIA
PMC card is special type of PCI card, which is having standard mezzanine connectors. The card will be plugged into Power PC card with help of mezzanine connectors the card is also taken care for conduction cooling with the addition of thermal plane. Extra precaution is taken for the PCI related signals by not allowing the track length more than 1.5 inches as per standard.

MCS (MISSION COMPUTER SYSTEM)

Client : NSTL Vizag

The MCS will House one Mother Board, one CPU card, one I/O card. CPU card is Intel’s 80486 processor based embedded card. It is operating at 64MHz frequencies The card is designed in such a way that conduction cooling (heat sink) is provided in the PCB by adding thermal plane.

ADC CARD (analog to digital converter 200MHz)

Client : DLRL

Analog data with frequency 100MHz coming to the system we are using to 100MHz ADC in the one ADC will working positive edge of the 100MHz clock and other ADC will work on negative edge of clock so that effectively will get 200MHz sampling frequency out of ADC we are storing into hard disk with help of control logic of EPLD.
