Hi all, doing boards for a small company currently using Orcad Capture/Layout. Our boards are very, very simple but I find Orcad Layout to be very poor as far as being user friendly. I used Pads PowerPCB from its inception until 1999 and then changed jobs and used Cadence Allegro Expert until 2002. (prior to all that I used Cadstar)

Here's my dilema, thinking about upgrading our Orcad Capture to Capture CIS (we need to get organized with our parts database) and switching the layout editor to Cadence Allegro (studio version). Again, we're a simple group with simple needs. I've also looked at Eagle but how can anything that cheap not end up snagging you at some point in the future? (get what you pay for kind of thing)

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
