I absolutely agree.
I've used Protel 99SE SP6 for the last few years after upgrading(?) from DOS PCAD 6.2.
I find it very unstable indeed and regularly loose hours of time over the course of any given project with frequent lockups. Seems to leak memory horrendously.
There has been no attempt to fix known bugs at all, rather I guess all software engineering efforts ahve been directed at making a new product to sell at top dollar, rather than fix the existing one for it's customers.
I have very little desire to hand over another significant chunk of money for a new product when it is most likely to be full of new bugs and very lacking in software updates to address known bugs (bit like Microsoft's products and strategy, don't get me started!!)
