This is a shot in the dark, but perhaps the problem has to do with a metric-english conversion problem.
Can you convert your data to english then try to plot it?
Also, are there any parameters that can be changed on the current driver? I know that in AutoCAD there
are quite a number of parameters that can be "tweaked" for HP plotter drivers.
Another thing you might want to investigate, load you Gerber data into a Gerber editor/viewer program and
print from it and see if there is any difference in results. Also, if you Gerber viewer has a no-width,
(skeletal or non-filled) viewing mode, see if your traces are drawn with a single line. I've seen some
design-layout programs draw traces with a double line if the trace with was not defined properly beforehand.
