Iím planning to develop a device that acquires the heart sounds by means of a microphone array (16 electret microphones). The device will have two more channels: one is for ECG and the other is another sound channel that is used to remove the effect of ambient noise (adaptive filtering). I will use USB interface in order to transfer the signals to the PC. Synchronization must be achieved between channels. Could you give ideas about how the design is accomplished and what kind of electronic components are suitable for this project. For example, what kind of ADC should I use (2 channels or 4 channels or what)?
Thank you!
