Hi Brian Hawes,

I have a suggestion - don't know if it will work.

Is magnetic flux allowed? If so, store the energy required for charging the capacitive load in an inductor. Route the inductor to ground when the switch is off. Allow the inductor to charge the switch capacitance to turn the switch on.

The value of the inductor is chosen so that the LC time constant is such that the voltage is stable enough for your experiment at the time of the pulse.

And be careful not to get to close to your switch regardless how you drive it.
