The easiest way to accomplish what you want is to buy a 120V timer that plugs into an outlet. I purchased one recently at Wal Mart. Buy a 120V relay, connect the coil to outlet on the timer, and wire the normally open contacts in series with the battery supply for the LED's. I think that Radio Shack will have the 120V ac relays.
