Sorry for the long delay in my response. I have discovered that I was mistaken about a few of the components on machine. The motors are 110 V AC. I have a rough circuit designed so that from my parallel port. A parallel port can send a signal with a maximum of 24V and 100mA. From their I was going to go to a triac. After the triac I was going to a relay and Transformer then finally to the motor. Also connected to the relay is going to be something called a full wave rectifier. Upon a bit of searching I discovered that a triac does not go lower than 800mA @ 24V. Also upon a bit of investigation I decieded i should find a zener diode to protect my motherboard. So i guess my problem is what can i use to replace the triac, would a relay work? Thanks for your help. Geoff
