IC amplifiers have increasing noise at low frequencies, so keep the signal frequency above 100 hz, 1000 hz is ideal. The noise increases with the signal bandwidth, so use a bandpass filter as narrow as your application will allow. I am sending a schematic of a current amp that has 100 picoamp sensitivity. I have not built it, so no guarantee.
