If you don't have isolation between the transmitter and receiver, the receiver front end may get fried. If you can find a linear amplifier that covers your frequency, that would work, although you don't need a linear for FM. A problem: Your two way FM radio uses the same output terminal for transmitting and receiving. If you connect a power amplifier between the radio output and the antenna, the receive signal cannot get to the receiver.
