Hi everyone:

I am trying to build a switch that will discharge caps into an LC network at 60hz.

The voltage is 7200 and current maximum is 6.6 amps.

I have some IGBT's coming from Advanced Power Tech. These will handle 1200v @ 30 amps. They recommend that I place them (8) in series.

To do this I'll need a transformer with 8 secondaries and also some RC's in parallel with each IGBT.

I need help with this circuit. Has anyone done this and can you send me the info to get me set out on a good path to get this circuit up and running.

The end result will be a 12vdc battery powered source running my home from one 12vdc battery. The completed design will be given away free to any one interested in building it. I intend posting it on The NUENERGY group at Yahoo. The basic circuit is already there under the title ENERGY SYSTEM. Rough parts list schematic,ect...

Please help if you can

Thanks
Gary Porter
