Thanks Russ. We did consider the resistors and the cable length doesn't appear to be an issue (they're already quite short). We thought and have almost verified that the problem lies within the actual power supply itself - still not sure why as it is brand new. We did change the op-amps from dual to single rail with some difference for the better.

What are the defining factors that would make one decide on dual rather than single, and vice versa?
