Cool, I really didn't want to add another chip to an already crowded 30mm x 50mm board. I'm already using 16 of the 1N4148's in the circuit, so the diode selection is also helpful in using the same parts. (Helps to use up leftover parts when meeting minimum order quantities.)

What is the relationship between R-C? I'd like to keep these as small as possible (C less than 4.7uF if possible) to take advantage of smaller packaging, even in surface-mount devices. Is there a formula to approximate the high cycle time? (i.e. What R-C combination will yield a small reset time of about 1 second or less?)
