Hi, I've just come across this site while surfing for an answer to the above question and decided I'd post in hopes that someone here might be able to help.I'm an amateur electronics hobbyist and my present project requires a one-shot pulse for a configurable period of time (no more than about a second). This signal will be used to set the Reset pin of a 74HCT193 Counter. The problem with all the example "one-shot" circuits I'm finding is they require an external trigger to initiate the pulse. I need the pulse to be automatically initiated when the circuit is powered on.
In short, turn on the power switch, one-shot produces high cycle for X amount of time then switches to ground until the power is switched off. The rest of my circuit is completed and just waiting for this last detail to be solved before I can begin board layout.
Thanks,
Mik
