A very low cost alternativ is the "TOPSwitch-FX Family" of Power-Integrations (www.powerint.com)

"TOP232" for example is in a TO220 case and could switch 15W. "TOP234Y" is able to switch 75W.

The datasheets are filled with many examples of many supply types.
