Thanks for responding!

No, I am not designing a color organ. I bought one to use within another project.

I have 3 separate components that I am trying to use together as a sortive "digital instrument."

The 555 circuit generates a tone.
The tone is taken in by a standard microphone which is attached to the color organ circuit

The color organ is supposed to take sound in and provide current for light based on that sound. Just like a nightclub lightshow.

That is where my problem lies. I am trying to build a LED circuit, but I don't know how. I've tried attaching a LED directly to the color organ board, then, inputting sound.... It just doesn't work. Plus, I keep shocking myself.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Heather
