Hello Daniel,

The problem you have to solve is very similar to that for a wide-band photodiode amplifier. There is a book about using op-amps in photo diode applications, "Photodiode Amplifiers: OP AMP Solutions" by Jerald Graeme which deals with gain-bandwidth, noise, and stability in some depth. Bob Pease did an article on photo-diode amplifiers (where he recommended using a discrete J_FET stage in front of an op-amp for better noise performance) - on the national semiconductor website somewhere.

Hopefully, this has given you some pointers for your researches.
