Subject: Zero Shift of Analog Voltage

I have an instrument which outputs an analog voltage of +/- 1 vdc. When at rest the strain gauge outputs +0.5 vdc, then while the strain gauge is at full compression it outputs +1.5 vdc, and while in full tension it outputs -0.5 vdc.

I am looking for a circut which I can create to shift this "zero" from +0.5 vdc to 0 vdc, while maintaining the full +/- 1 vdc range.
