I need help with a circuit that will automatically off-hook the phone even if the handset is on(not lifted) if a call comes in. I know putting a resistor accross the ring and tip can simulate the same process but I want to know if another circuit can do the same job. how best can it be done to open the line(receiver handset picked up) at the other end that equivalents to a pick-up by an individual but in reality there would be no one to pick it up. I think I am making myself clear. I would appreciate anyones help.
